Booking your Overseas Registration Exam (ORE)
You are eligible to book a place on the ORE once you have successfully completed the ORE application process. We will email you to confirm and add you to the candidate list for the ORE Part 1.
You must pass the ORE within five years of first attempting Part 1.
You will be able to book and pay your fee via your online account. You must pay the full examination fee at the time of the booking.
Cheque bookings are only available to candidates sponsored by a refugee council or charity. Contact us before the booking window opens to check on the procedure if this applies to you.
All ORE sittings will open for booking eight weeks in advance. Places for sittings of the ORE are taken up fast, normally on the same day that the booking window opens. If you cannot find an ORE available for booking, it normally means that there are no places available.
There are currently a significant number of candidates trying to secure a place on the ORE. All places are booked on a first come, first served, basis, which means we cannot guarantee that everyone trying to book a place will be able to secure one. Dates for sittings of the ORE are provided by email in advance. Check your email regularly.
See ORE booking dates for the latest information.
Withdrawals and refunds
You should review our ORE withdrawal policy before deciding to withdraw from a sitting of the ORE you have already booked. You will need to complete a form and email to us if you want to withdraw.
You should also refer to our refund policy before withdrawing or requesting a refund. If your withdrawal is due to medical reasons, we may be able to provide you with a refund.
Reopening the booking window
If any places become free due to withdrawals, we will reopen the booking window and offer them to all candidates.
You will be notified by email if any spaces become available.
Information about reopened booking windows will also be available on the ORE booking dates page on our website.
