Logging in to MyGDC

MyGDC is our new online registration service.

If you have a previous eGDC account, this will now be available in MyGDC.

You do not need to take any action now. You can log in when you next need to access your MyGDC account.

First time logging in to MyGDC (dental professionals)

If you’re a dental professional and had an eGDC account, you can use the same email address to sign in to MyGDC.

The first time you log in, you’ll need to:

    1. enter the email address linked to your eGDC account
    2. reset your password
    3. complete two-factor authentication (2FA)

You’ll be guided through each step on screen.

If you are applying to join the GDC register

If you are applying to join the GDC register for the first time, you will create a MyGDC account as part of your application.

    To create an account:

    1. Select ‘No account? Create one’ on the sign-in page.
    2. Enter your email address and select ‘Next’.
    3. Check your email and enter the verification code.

You’ll then be asked to enter your details. Enter a display name – this is the name shown on the MyGDC portal.

Follow the steps on screen to finish setting up your account.

If you have already started an application

If you have an application in progress, it will continue to be processed during the transition to MyGDC. You do not need to start a new application unless we advise you to do so.

If you started an application in eGDC on or before 24 March 2026, you should send the required supporting documentation within three months of your application date.

If your application is not completed by this date, you will need to submit a new application through MyGDC.

    Two-factor authentication

MyGDC uses two-factor authentication (2FA) to help keep your account secure.

When you log in, you’ll be asked to complete an extra step after entering your password. A verification code will be sent to your email address.

Enter this code on the login screen to confirm your identity and complete the process.

You’ll need to do this each time you log in.

    If you cannot log in

You might not be able to log in if:

    • You have entered the wrong password → after 5 attempts, your account will be locked for 15 minutes. You can try again after this time.
    • You have not received your verification code → check your junk or spam folder
    • You cannot remember your password → we recommend that you reset it by selecting 'Forgot password' at sign-in and following the steps on screen.

If you continue experiencing problems accessing your account, please Contact us for support.
